Siemens ‘s “Me Too” Strategy for UC products ?!

May 15, 2008 By: Yann Espanet Category: Office Communication Server

I was at the Unified Communications launch event from both Microsoft and Siemens in Belgium, and I have noted that there’s some similarities in the marketing communication :

  • Concerning the video ad for the product, the two companies use almost the same type of character who is inspired from the famous fashion magazine editor Miranda Priestly. (do you remember the film “The Devil wears Prada” ?)

Video from Siemens with a mode designer who look like the same : You can Start right now !

  • Concerning the launch event, the background for the role playing is the same !

  1. During the keynote speech at the Unified Communications Summit 2008, Mark addresses the growing opportunity around consolidation.
It has been rumored that Siemens is spinning out or selling its software enterprise group. Candidates include Microsoft, Nortel, IBM, and Cisco.
