Testing OCS R2 on a 32 bit OS ? YES we can ! By using Windows 2008 VMWare virtual machine and if you have a supported 64-bit processors!
If you want to have a testing machine of Windows 2008 64 Bit with OCS R2, you can use VMware workstation 6 to install a Windows 2008 x64 experimental server and then install the OCS R2 trial Kit.
But first, you must have a host machine that have one of the supported 64-bit processors:
- AMD Athlon 64, revision D or later
- AMD Opteron, revision E or later
- AMD Turion 64, revision E or later
- AMD Sempron, 64-bit-capable revision D or later (experimental support)
- Intel EM64T VT-capable processors (experimental support)
